HURST Jaws of Life, Inc., an industry leading global manufacturer of rescue tools, has introduced StrongArm®, a versatile, multipurpose tool that fills a critical need for fire, technical rescue, FEMA and Urban Search & Rescue (US&R) task forces. Replacing a number of single purpose hand tools, StrongArm is powerful, portable and able to cut, lift and spread.
"StrongArm is a game changer," said Bruce Johnston, director of marketing and product management for HURST Jaws of Life, Inc. "Traditionally, tactical rescue or rapid intervention teams have had a variety of tools to shuffle through while on the scene. But now, StrongArm does it all, and saves time and energy in the process. This will be an incredibly useful tool for task forces around the world."
With a built-in Picatinny accessory rail and a four position handle, StrongArm cuts, lifts and spreads. It replaces crowbars, halligan bars, wire cutters, axes and more. More specifically, it can cut through 3/8" rebar, grade 43 chain, two-by-four wood and is in protection class IP54.
StrongArm is also suited for getting under collapsed roofs and breaching through walls. The compact, portable design makes it easy to carry and allows it to fit into tight spaces, making it lightweight without compromising power or strength. StrongArm is heat, smoke and firefighter tested and is extremely durable.
The tool weighs 21.4 to 25.8lbs., depending on the attachments, and comes with two sets of tips, two Li-ion rechargeable batteries and one charger. StrongArm comes in blue for the municipal fire market and black for law enforcement.
