HURST Jaws of Life® is celebrating 40 years of equipping heroes at FDIC in Indianapolis, April 19-21. The HURST Jaws of Life booth, No. 1823, located in the Indiana Convention Center, will feature special graphics honoring the heroes who save lives every day with HURST Jaws of Life, a vintage 1974 AMC Gremlin Highway Rescue Vehicle and a Toyota FJ Cruiser specially outfitted with the complete line of eDRAULIC tools.
“FDIC is going to be a special event for HURST Jaws of Life, our customers and our partners,” said Bruce Johnston, director of marketing and product management for HURST Jaws of Life. “We’re looking forward to honoring our past, giving special recognition to the rescuers who save lives with our tools, and acknowledging our future with the introduction of several new rescue products.”
HURST Jaws of Life will also be giving away T-shirts, which feature an iconic HURST Jaws of Life logo on the front and the 40th Anniversary logo on the back, to show attendees who come to their booth.
The 1974 AMC Gremlin HURST Highway Rescue System 1 on display in the HURST Jaws of Life booth is on loan from Murray County Rescue in Georgia. The car was originally purchased by Murray County in April 1974 for $12,500 and came fully equipped with emergency life support, extrication, and fire fighting equipment. It was one of less than 10 HURST Highway Rescue System 1 vehicles sold nationwide and it is the only one known to still be in operable condition.
The Toyota FJ Cruiser, fully equipped with a complete line of eDRAULIC tools, belongs to Code 4 Fire & Rescue, a valued HURST Jaws of Life distributor. The FJ Cruiser features a HURST Jaws of Life paint scheme and a custom display rack for showcasing eDRAULIC tools.
